Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
– I Thessalonians 4:17
36But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only…
42Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming…
44Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Matthew 24
Jesus says in Matthew 24 that no one knows the exact day of His Second Coming and we are exhorted to be ready. We have always been cautious about this topic and try to be discerning when we listen to any messages related to the end times, because there had been so many different interpretations about this. However, in recent years, we came across some teachings, which we found edifying and illuminates some light on this topic which we once were so concerned about even venturing close to find out more about. Pastor Gary Hamrick’s three part teaching on “Israel and the End Times” was a good summary of the prophecies in the book of Ezekiel and what will happen in the end times (Credit to Cornerstone Chapel Leesburg VA for the PDF of their Koinonia Group Notes on the same) Pastor Gary’s other three part teaching on Matthew 24 on the implication to the Believer gives a good overview on this topic too. Dr David Jeremiah’s teachings on book of Revelations were also illuminating and filled with hope and exhortation, both to the Believer and pre-Believer.
Feel free to search on Youtube for more of Dr David Jeremiah‘s teachings.
On his other site, Prophecyexplained.org, Dr. David Jeremiah opens the Word of God to explore the significance of Bible prophecy in our lives today—its assurance that Jesus is our Messiah, its relevance in a world where prophecy is literally unfolding around us, and its hope-filled importance.
